Print Only - Professional Quality
By far, the most affordable route to purchase any of my original artwork products is Print Only. It's exactly as it sounds, my prints on professional quality - photographic paper coming without any matt, mounting or framing. Print only is the fastest turn around if you are in a rush, shipping cost is minimal and most importantly when you bring to your favorite frame shop you get to pick exactly how you would like to frame and matt the artwork!
Standard paper choices for my artwork begin with Endura Professional in two finishes. (Lustre and Pearl/Metallic) Endura prints show exceptional detail quality and wonderful color saturation. To read more about Lustre Professional Photographic Prints.
The Lustre finish (a semi-gloss with a very fine pebble texture) is an excellent choice and it does not produce glare issues.
The Pearl/Metallic finish takes prints to a whole new level with a smooth pearlescent finish that gives a shimmering boost over Lustre. The image takes on a striking third dimension when paired with the right artwork. Without a doubt, the most exciting paper print option I offer!
Matte Finish is my Fine Art paper option based on archival quality. It's a non-glare finish and provides a soft, slightly painterly effect. It's not the perfect solution for most of my photography being my work is impressive based on the details I offer the buyer. Please, READ my photo descriptions to see if I suggest this to be a good choice.

Advantages Of Paper Prints
Why I don't sell framed and matted
The reasons are many and quite practical. My experience selling at art shows has been priceless. I've seen a huge difference in buyer trends personally, and feedback from speaking to what I call my friendly colleagues who also sell Fine Art photography prints backs this up. The trend has seen buyers specifically requesting to purchase "just the print". Years ago, the only products we would bring to art shows to sell would have been Canvas wraps and some Framed/matted prints, in addition to what we call bin work which is matted only prints in assorted small to medium sizes. Print technologies, such as Dye sublimated aluminum or Acrylic float mount prints did not even exist at the time. Fine Art photographers selling at artfairs would invest huge sums of time and money trying to invent the ideal frame/mat combinations. All too often, the photographer guessed wrong and lost a potential sale!
As buyers needs have become more specific, they no longer have to settle for the color of the matt or the style of the frame the photographer/artist decided on. The best way for the photographer to adapt is simply to offer the print and allow the buyer to have it mounted and framed exactly to their taste. I've heard many times again and again, "I love the art print, but can I purchase it without all of this other stuff?"
The answer is a resounding YES you can.
Proper Care and Display of your New print
Bringing your new Fine Art print to an experienced framing shop for a proper mounting and framing installation is very important. Your new print purchase is an investment to be enjoyed for decades. If you incorrectly mount a paper print, it can eventually curl or ripple slightly due to heat or humidity. This is normal since paper absorbs moisture and expands. Curling is more noticeable with LARGE high gloss surfaces and a good reason why I don't offer high gloss prints in photographic fine art paper. Quality frame shops know exactly how to hinge mount or cold press prints to avoid curling. My best advice, as they say on TV is don't try this at home.
Smaller sized prints such as 8x12" and 12x18" prints are not nearly as susceptible to curling, the concern mostly applies to prints over 20" at the widest dimension.
In addition to proper mounting technique, some basic common sense rules apply when it comes time to display your new print. Direct sunlight should always be avoided. A general rule of thumb is all artwork should be displayed in average "typical" interior room lighting. My fine art prints will last for decades if they are displayed under these conditions.
