Make a lasting Visual Impact with our MetalPrint Photo Panels
MetalPrints are a relatively new, unique and exciting fine art print format. They combine incredible beauty, superb depth, and vivid color saturation in an extremely durable presentation. My ChromaLuxe HD MetalPrint Photo Panels are lightweight and resist scratches, dampness, and fade.
The making of a MetalPrint Photo panel is a complex process and photographers rely on professional print labs to create these amazing displays from our image files. It begins with a specially coated .045 aluminum sheet. The artwork is then applied to the coated aluminum by way of dye-infused (heat pressed) sublimation. In essence, the image is not "printed" onto the metal, it is fused directly into the coated metal.
Classic Float Mounted
The standard option is what is called Float Mounted. The Aluminum sheets have recessed mounting brackets attached to the reverse side of the piece, ready to hang the moment they arrive. The artwork is floated 1/2" from the wall surface for an elegant and sleek gallery presentation. The image below shows the reverse side of a float mount metal photo panel. There is NO extra cost for this mounting option.
This is a very handsome upgrade. The MetalPrint is mounted to 2mm thickness black substrate backing. Finished edges of the print are also black for an elegant cohesive appearance. They are finished off with an all black metal inset frame that allows you to attach to a wall surface using a French cleat hanging system. This adds durability and a highly attractive presentation appearance. The image below shows the reverse side of an Exhibit Mounted metal print
Surface Finish Options
ChromaLuxe MetalPrints are available in 3 surface finish options.
High Gloss is a popular finish and is quite striking. It has a brilliant high gloss surface that draws a lot of attention. It is rather reflective, however, but under the proper lighting, it makes quite an impact!
Mid-Gloss has similar color intensity and detail when compared to the high gloss, however, it has a noticeably reduced glare if stray light is an issue. This is a smart choice if you are uncertain which way to turn.
Satin is a finish that I am very fond of. It provides a soft, even and smooth finish with virtually no glare. I attend numerous Fine Art and Trade shows annually and I have been very impressed with satin finished prints displayed by the photographic artist. The Satin finish option is a great choice for painterly art prints. I'm so impressed with Satin that I decided to stop selling the Canvas Print option altogether!
